Challenges of a College Town

Chico California is a great place to live; it is also the home of CSU Chico (Chico State University).  Chico State is known as a party campus.  We have a “Float” every year where thousands of college students float down the Sacramento River in tubes.

We have had our share of block parties and some resulting riots.  These few reasons alone can keep a locksmith busy when the student body is in town.  That Sacramento River has swallowed up a lot of car keys.  During block parties keys are lost, purses stolen, and kids frequently get locked out of their rooms.

This means answering the phone at all hours of the night and trying to verify ownership of vehicles students drive that are in their parent’s name.  Imagine trying to find a student from out of town and doesn’t know where they are, and freaked out kids who are so far away from home.

All in all I love it, I love helping the kids who need car keys made, and the beauty of the North Valley.
