Vehicle Year by VIN and VATS Chart

VIN and VATS Word DocGreetings: I usually post information for my customers, but this post is more for the Locksmiths in the community. I have been using a guide called AutoSmart that has a chart to find the vehicle year by the 10th letter of the vehicle identification number (VIN). This is important because transponder software is based on that VIN year. That book is now out of print (it went digital) and the information doesn’t list current or future vehicles.

I also wanted to print a General Motors Vehicle Anti-Theft System (VATS) guide but couldn’t find a good, useful, printable, version so, I made an new guide to post in my vans as a reference.

Feel free to use this guide (print as is or download the word doc and change out the logo for your own, or just link to my page or the document. It’s free to use so long as you don’t resell it.
